Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Choices at trychoices.app. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Choices provides two core products:

Choices Network

  • AI-powered onboarding and profile generation
  • Intelligent matching and discovery of co-founders and collaborators
  • Direct messaging between users

Choices PM Engine

  • AI project creation from a prompt, including idea validation with web research and execution plan generation
  • Evidence ingestion via file uploads (PDF, DOCX, images, CSV), URL crawling, interview transcripts, and analytics data
  • AI insight clustering, opportunity ranking, and PRD/spec generation with evidence citations
  • Task generation with effort estimates and export to Linear and GitHub
  • Voice briefs (AI podcast), Execution Bridge for matching builders to project tasks

We may update the platform and its features at any time.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must sign up using Clerk. Provide accurate and truthful information.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for all activities under your account. Report unauthorized access to hello@trychoices.app.

3.3 One Account Policy

Only one active account is allowed per user.

4. User Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of your content.

4.2 License to Choices

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your content for operating and improving the Service.

4.3 Content Rules

You may not post content involving harassment, hate, illegal content, impersonation, spam, misleading information, or infringing material. We may remove violating content.

4.4 File Uploads

You may upload files (PDF, DOCX, TXT, PNG, JPG, CSV) to the PM Engine for AI analysis. Files are stored in your workspace and you may delete them at any time. Do not upload files containing sensitive personal data of third parties without their consent.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Scrape or extract data
  • Use bots without permission
  • Reverse-engineer the platform
  • Misuse the Service
  • Harm or impersonate other users
  • Circumvent security

6. AI-Generated Content

Our AI (including Google Gemini) generates profiles, recommends matches, parses searches, and summarizes information. AI may produce errors. Do not rely on it as professional advice.

7. Messaging

7.1 Private Communications

Messages are encrypted. We may process metadata (not message content) for safety and performance.

7.2 Message Controls

You can limit who can message you.

8. Intellectual Property

Choices owns the platform design, branding, features, UI, code, and visual elements. No copying or modifying without permission.

9. Payments & Subscriptions

9.1 Plans

Choices offers Free, Pro ($19/month), and Team ($49/month, coming soon) plans. Plan details and feature limits are described on our pricing page.

9.2 Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically each month. You may cancel anytime via your billing portal — access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

9.3 Price Changes

We will give at least 30 days advance notice by email before any price increase takes effect.

10. Copyright & DMCA

Send DMCA concerns to hello@trychoices.app with: contact info, description of copyrighted work, infringing link, proof of ownership, and a sworn statement.

11. Termination

11.1 By You

To delete your account, email hello@trychoices.app with the subject “Account Deletion Request.” We will verify your identity and process deletion within a reasonable timeframe.

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, compromise platform security, or misuse the Service. Termination may result in loss of access to certain data.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “AS IS.” We do not guarantee accuracy of profiles, accuracy of AI output, match quality, platform uptime, or user behavior. Use at your own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Choices is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits, data loss, harm caused by user interactions, harm from reliance on AI output, or issues arising from user-generated content. This applies regardless of legal theory.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Choices for claims arising from your actions, your content, your use of the Service, and your violation of these Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA. Disputes will be resolved via binding arbitration in Delaware. Class actions are waived.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Major changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use means acceptance.
