By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of the Service
Choices is an AI-powered networking platform that helps builders, founders, and creators connect through:

- Profile generation
- Intelligent matching
- Direct messaging
- Search and discovery features
We may update the platform at any time.
User Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must sign up using Clerk. Provide accurate and truthful information.
3.2 Account Security
You're responsible for all activities under your account. Report unauthorized access to hello@trychoices.app.
3.3 One Account Policy
Only one active account is allowed per user.
User Content
4.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of your content.
4.2 License to Choices
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your content for operating and improving the Service.
4.3 Content Rules

- Harassment
- Hate
- Illegal content
- Impersonation
- Spam
- Misleading info
- Infringing material
We may remove violating content.
Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Scrape or extract data
- Use bots without permission
- Reverse-engineer the platform
- Misuse the Service
- Harm or impersonate other users
- Circumvent security
AI-Generated Content
Our AI (including Google Gemini):
- Generates profiles
- Recommends matches
- Parses search
- Summarizes information
AI may produce errors. Don't rely on it as professional advice.
Messaging
7.1 Private Communications
Messages are encrypted. We may process metadata (not message content) for safety and performance.
7.2 Message Controls
You can limit who can message you.
Intellectual Property
Choices owns the platform design, branding, features, UI, code, and visual elements. No copying or modifying without permission.
Payments & Subscriptions — TBD
This section will be completed before paid features launch. Currently, Choices offers no paid plans.

Termination (Updated)
11.1 By You (Account Deletion Request)
Users cannot delete their accounts in-app. To delete your account, email:
Subject: Account Deletion Request
We will verify your identity and delete your account within a reasonable timeframe. Message data may remain visible to other participants even after deletion.
11.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in abusive or harmful behavior
- You compromise platform security
- You misuse or disrupt the Service
Termination may result in loss of access to certain data.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "AS IS." We do not guarantee:
- Accuracy of profiles
- Accuracy of AI output
- Match quality
- Platform uptime
- User behavior
Use at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability (No Liability Cap)
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Choices is not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Loss of profits
- Data loss
- Harm caused by user interactions
- Harm from reliance on AI output
- Issues arising from user-generated content
This applies regardless of legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, etc.).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Choices for claims arising from:
- Your actions
- Your content
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
Governing Law & Arbitration
These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA.
Disputes will be resolved via binding arbitration in Delaware. Class actions are waived.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Major changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use means acceptance.
